Why stainless steel?
Stainless steel is non-porous, non-reactive and effectively unbreakable in daily service, which is why it remains the default choice in commercial kitchens. Unlike plastic, it will not stain, absorb odours or scratch into grooves that harbour bacteria, and unlike glass or ceramic it survives drops, stacking and industrial dishwashing. It is also fully recyclable at end of life.
Care and cleaning
Dishwasher safe. For stubborn residue, soak in warm water rather than scouring with steel wool, which can leave fine scratches. Dry after washing to prevent water spotting, and avoid prolonged contact with undiluted bleach or strong chlorides, which can pit the surface over time.
